54th UAAP Finals: A three-peat that never was

In the 1991 UAAP finals, De La Salle Green Archers beat FEU Tamaraws, 80-77, to win its third straight title, however, a replay was ordered and the Archers didn't show up in their rematch, thus the UAAP board declared the FEU Tamaraws the UAAP champions for season 54.

Just to make it official at the Araneta Coliseum, a tip off without any La Salle players showing up.

NCAA Season 64: The Letran Knights

The Letran Knights, winner of five of the last six tournaments of the NCAA senior basketball and are looking for their second grandslam in 1988, had been playing below-par in the first round of eliminations.

The Knights eventually yield the crown to their arch-rival San Sebastian Stags, which completed a 10-game sweep in the eliminations en route to the title.
