UAAP Season 50: Ateneo wins first-ever title



In the 1987 UAAP Season, the Ateneo Blue Eagles wins their first-ever title, rallied from a 20-point deficit in the second half  to beat University of the East Warriors, 94-92.



1990 PBL Philippine Cup: Sta.Lucia finally wins their first title




The Realtors beat Burger City, 94-83, in Game 4 for a 3-1 series victory.


The members of the Realtors' first PBL championship are Eugene Quilban, Edgar Macaraya, Art dela Cruz, Tony dela Cerna, Marlou Aquino, Macky de Joya, Cris Bade, Boyet Fernandez and Adonis Tierra.

1961 MICAA cage series: Ysmael Steel wins title by default



Yco beats Ysmael in Game 1 of their best-of-three title series.


A week later, after Ysmael tied the series by winning the second game, the Yco Painters default the championship for refusing to play at the Araneta Coliseum.

1959 National Open and MICAA championships



March 9, 1959, the Yco Painters down arch-rival Ysmael Steel, 79-70, to win their six straight National Open basketball championship.


July 1, 1959, the Chelsea Clippers tripped the Yco Painters, 94-92, to win the year's MICAA basketball crown and their first title.

Grandslam '84: The Letran Knights


The 1984 Letran Knights roster that won the grandslam: Monty Aquino, Jerry Gonzales, Antonio Pujante, Romeo Ang, Cayetano Salazar, Antonio Cabatana, Victor Bonot, Salvador Ramos, Fernando Libed, Adriano Polistico, Avelino "Samboy" Lim and Justino Pinat. Coach is Larry Albano. 



Letran edge out San Sebastian Stags, 93-91, on September 12, 1984, to complete an 8-game elimination round sweep en route to their third straight NCAA senior's title.
