The Filipinos' other victories: Singapore (91-65), Malaysia (105-79), Indonesia (85-64), and host Thailand (93-74).
The Philippines won the basketball gold with a 108-89 conquest of the Thais. The Chiang Mai victory was the second overall title of coach Joe Lipa in the SEA Games.
